I’m not going to be slave
I won’t give into circumstances
That push me in one direction
A multitude of circumstances comers me
Confuses me, extors, coerces
Like I’ve fallen into a spider’s web
Like I’m a moth circling a candle
Like I’m sliding down a narrow crack into unknow
But I won’t give up
I’m going to break the spider’s web
I’ll blow out the candle
Or the wind that I’ll call will extinguish it
I’ll catch on something in the passing
And I’ll stop
In my heart make yourself a nest a weight
That squeezes tears of despair
That pours bitternes down the throat
That overpowers my knees
That makes shake my hands
But I’ll met this burden
With the power of my dreams
And my belief that it’s worth it
Cause I used to be in heaven
And I know that it’s worth
Doing everything to be
Able to get there
You who weren’t in heaven
Or don’t remember you were there
Believe me, it’s worth trying
Be an indomitable knight
Don’t give into Fate
