13. ONE FAMILY GATHERING IN THE ZOO

It was morning when the barge arrived at the marina by the river near asylum. The horses Figo and Fago helped by the carrying the load from the barge to asylum. The load was beds and seats for animals made to the special order of Mr.Jeremy. The horses told the other animals that the contractor of the order was a furniture factory in the city of St. Magdalene. Kay the monkey  knew name of this city as his birthplace, he was bornthere in the Zoo. He would love to go there visit his parents, he remember they loved him very much. He told  Fyfy about it and they asked Mr Jeremy so that he would agree to let them sail a barge to visit the Zoo in St. Magdalene. After much deliberation, Mr Jeremy agreed  to let Kay and Fyfy with Mrs. Kitty visited Zoo. Mrs. Kitty worked previously as an usher and accoutant in the circus. Mr Jeremy also called by phone with director of the Zoo about them.

When the barge was returning to St.Magdalene, Mrs. Kitty with Kay and Fyfy were on the board. It very pleasant to sail the barge. You could get to know the new world and surroudings, passing slowly. Listen to fairy tales whispered by the wawes of the river. Inhale the scent of herbst and grasses from coastal meadows.  Watch birds  and insects fly by barge. To look  at night sky full of stars. 

As dawn Mrs. Kitty woke the animals from their slumber . The Zoo grounds reached  the river bank and the barge stopped in front of the small back gate to the Zoo. Mrs. Kitty put collars on the animals , keeping them on leashes and entered the Zoo with them . They  went to the monkey pavilon, the Zoo emploee explained how to get there. When they reached this place, they stood amazed. There were shards of broken glass everywhere.

They saw a chimpanzee trashing aroud the cape. He ran from the bars to the wall, where it hit his head, then ran again to the bars. His forehead was smashed and blood was oozing from the wound. Other monkeys watched sadly from  the glass of their cages. There was no none of the Zoo employees.

Kay pulled the leash  and shouted : It’s my daddy ! Do you recognize me? And where is my mom ? Mrs. Kitty took of the leash and Kay jumpted in front  of the bars. His dad ran to the bars and they hugged each other, both crying from emotion.

Meanwhile, two employees entered the pavilon to clean up the glass. When Mrs. Kitty asked what was going on here, a junior employee said : The Zoo director borrowed some our monkey in another country to be fertilized there and after birth and rearing their children they will return to our Zoo. This chimpanzee so desperate there because took  his wife and daughter to that Zoo for temporary replacement.

Fyfy the pig didn’t understand  everything that the emploee was saying, but she was scared and hid under Mrs. Kitty’s skirt. Kay quietly told his dad about his life in circus and the building of asylumans school for animals. He promissed to ask Mr. Jeremy to buy chimpanzee’s family and bring to asylum.

A Zoo employee added :My friend and I have taken pictures of what here happened and we will go to an independed newspaper to print an article about it. Mrs. Kitty gave him her buisiness card and wrote down his phone number in notebook. Then with Fyfy began to ask Kay to say goodbye to his dad and that they would definitely see again each other. In a dozen or so minuten , the Zoo will be open to visitors, so you have to leave now.

Kay say good bye to his father and with Mrs. Kitty and Fyfy ran to get back on the barge to sail away to the funiture factory.There, the ordened goods were loaded and the bargesailed back to the asylum. Barge flowed slowly and finally they reached  the harbour , got out and went to the azylum.

Fyfy told to Mrs,Susy everything that had happened at the Zoo .Mrs, Susy ran to Mrs. Kitty’sofice to take care of Kay. She comforted Kay and Fyfy that Mr. Jeremy definitely would  come up with something for the benefit of Kay’s family.
